When running a business,
it is very important to keep your customers happy. Not only will they
turn into repeat customers, but they will also pass your name on to
other people who will become your customers. But what are some ways
that you can go just that little bit extra to keep your customers
happy?
Special promotions, sales,
or bonuses are easy ways to get customers back in your door or website.
By offering specials to previous or regular customers, not only are
they likely to check back, but they like to think they are receiving
the special treatment.
Send a quick email to a
customer if you have received a new product you think she might be
interested. This can be overused, so don't just send a weekly mass
mailing of a new item to every previous customer in your database
(unless they have signed up for weekly notifications). Instead, an
email should only be sent once every few months. The more frequently
they are sent, the more likely a customer will be to pass it off as
"spam".
Everyone loves a deal,
and free shipping is one way you can do it that customers love. You
can set up special restrictions, such as "free shipping on purchases
of $50 or more". You can even exclude large items from the offer.
But do try to keep your restrictions reasonable - the more restrictions
you place, the less likely you are to get an order.
