Setting
a Date Night for the Sake of Your Business
Many moms read the advice
about setting a date night with their husbands either once a week
or once a month, but of course, no one ever gets around to it. Once
babysitting costs are factored in along with dinner and a movie, the
expense is often too much for a financially frugal family. But having
a date night, even just once in a while, is worth the expense when
the benefits are added up.
But not only do date nights
give mom's a chance to visit with their husband or partner, it also
gives both partners a chance to express any concerns about your home
business - both negative and positive.
It will also give you both
a chance to talk without arguing (hopefully!) while getting time along
sans kids.
If expense is a major issue
for even a once-in-a-while event, try planning a time on the weekend
where you make the committment that you will stay up late after the
kids go to sleep. You could have a picnic right in the middle of your
living room (or a midnight snack depending on the time) with a bottle
of inexpensive wine. Turn the television off so you will get to talk
and won't be distracted, and just devote the time to yourselves.
