Summertime Activities & Your Business Summer time activities-business summer time activities - business Hot day - data to enter! Invite to the beach - calls to make. Lunch on the patio - lunch at the office. Being an entrepreneur is fantastic but sometimes it does have its drawbacks. Many of us are entrepreneurs so we can be home with our children - the problem in the summer is they are home with us! As most successful work at home Moms understand, we cannot do it without some form of childcare. Whether it is a mother's helper a few hours a week, a few days in a day care, a nanny, or school; we need to have an extra hand. There are things that we cannot get done with our children around. Summer causes some unique challenges - when the kids are out of school we have to make some decisions. Do we use summer camps, child care, or do we work around them? This summer I have chosen to work around the kids. I do not have them enrolled in anything. We have varied between fun days at the beach or parks and them playing for hours with their friends out front! I also took the summer off from any big writing or speaking projects but I have found myself tested a number of times. Once used to having certain amounts of uninterrupted work time, I have had trouble adjusting to none at all. It seems that I could get more done in my one 8 hour day without kids than I can in a week now! I have had to really buckle down and commit myself to get my things done but I have survived. It has been worth it. The kids are having a fantastic summer and I am too! Summer is about half over, depending where you live. Take a few moments after reading this article and think about your summer! Think about these questions and make sure you know the answers so that in September you and your children can say it was a fantastic summer! 1. What were my goals
