How to Dispute an Error on Your Credit Report
Once you have ordered a copy
of your credit report (you can get a copy of your credit
report for free online) and reviewed it, if you find inaccuracies,
you should act promptly. You can contact the company and find out how
to go about disputing an error they have placed on your credit report.
By law, all reporting agencies
are required to investigate your dispute, and remove it if it is found
to be placed on your report by error.
While it usually takes about
30 days for an investigation to determine if it was an error or not, it
can take several months, so if you are needing to apply for your business
loan, do not delay in starting the dispute procedure with the reporting
company.
If you were turned down for
a loan, job or mortgage due to an error on your credit report, be sure

a Loan Due to a Credit Report Error.
