Take Advantage of Your Employed Status When Applying for a Credit Card

Did you realize that once you take the plunge into the world of being self employed, it can make it much more difficult to be approved for a credit card? If you haven't quit your day job, and you think you might need a credit card (or cards to supplement the ones you currently have), you should apply for them BEFORE you give your notice.

Once you become self employed, you become a greater credit risk to the bank unless you have a proven income return from your business, something you are not likely to have when you are just starting out.
