Setting Realistic
Goals
Did you realize a quick and
easy way to sabotage the success of your goals is to make them completely
unachievable? Yes, we'd all like to make a million dollars this year,
but is it really a realistic goal for you if you only made $1000 with
the same business last year?
On the same note, there is
nothing wrong with dreaming big. Goals need to be something *currently*
out of reach, and something you can work towards. But there is something
to be said for baby steps.
Instead of saying you'd like
to make a million dollars this year, start with something such as increasing
your sales by 10% each month. This is something easier to work towards,
and will not seem like a hopeless goal if you hit a rough patch and wonder
if you will ever be a success.
Or if you still feel the need
to put that million dollars on your goal list, make sure it isn't your
only goal, and that you do have other "baby step" goals on your
road to millionaire status.
