Computer
Training for First-Time Users
With the older generation purchasing
computers to stay in touch via email with family and friends, or sinmply
wanting to do genealogy research, there is a huge market for computer
gurus to train these first time users. Be aware, some of these users won't
even know the difference between a click or a double click, or even know
where the power button is.
Patience is the most needed
skill for this business - some will just be driven crazy by the repetitiveness
of this business! But it can be lucrative to get into if you can stand
it.
Charge by the hour. If you
charge by the job, you will find that it will take you at least three
times longer than you anticipated. And it is best to train each person
on his or her computer, or else you could be receiving phone calls when
there isn't a desktop link to Internet Explorer, or because they can't
find AOL anywhere on their computer.
