You can make a variety of gourmet
chocolates for all different occasions, in a variety of different sizes
and shapes using specialty molds. You are only limited by your own creativity.
To give you an example of a unique idea, I got a gourmet chocolate flower
pot that was beautiful as a gift. The crafter took a regular clay flower
pot and decorated it in her theme of choice (with paint and lace etc)
on the inside was Styrofoam into which she inserted chocolate flower lollipops
that were wrapped in cellophane with ribbon. It was absolutely beautiful
and one of the best gifts I have ever received.
You can buy your chocolates,
molds and accessories at your local craft store or even search online
as you will have more options available to you. There are small kits you
can buy at the craft store to try out and then progress later if this
is something you enjoy doing.
Your markets are endless; you
can do these as get well gifts, housewarming, bridal showers, baby showers,
birthdays and more! You can make little candies, lollipops, chocolate
chunks and more - white or dark chocolate mix and match your flavors,
the possibilities are endless! I am getting hungry just thinking about
it!
Do remember to check your local
health regulations. Most states have requirements that you must make anything
for human consumption in a commercial kitchen. However, many churches
and schools rent their kitchens to home-based businesses, so it definitely
is workable.
