Hairdresser
More and more hairdressers
are working out of their homes. Not only does it provide convenience,
but you can work around client's schedules. You may find that you can
only work late afternoons and evenings, leaving most of your day free
to be with your children.
Another alternative is to offer
mobile services for those confined to their homes, or for those in nursing
homes. You can also do hair styling services for those who are in long-term
hospital care (you should seek doctor or nurse permission before using
any hair products on patients.)
There are regulations governing
hair stylists in most states and provinces. You usually need to pass an
exam, then keep up your membership. You may have to carry a copy of your
certificate with you when you provide mobile services.
