Design
Interior design varies from
an interior decorator. Instead, an
interior designer most often works with an interior decorator, to complete
a room, office, apartment or house.
An interior designer is responsible
for designing how the space will look, but is not responsible for choosing
the specific pieces to complete that look. An interior designer will decide
the layout, and in the case of an area being built from scratch, will
decide just where the walls and rooms will be built.
In simple terms, an interior
designer is responsible for the site architecture and placement, while
the decorator is responsible for putting that into action.
Some interior designers also
encompass interior decorating into the business, while some prefer to
operate as one or the other.
