Every mother wants their newborn's
nursery to be perfect. But expectant mothers should not paint, wallpaper
or do any heavy lifing such as rearranging furniture. This makes it a
great business for someone with decorating experiencing.
You can do the actual painting
and wallpapering (or hire someone to do it). You can go with the mom to
pick out furniture, bedding and accessories. You will coordinate delivery
of anything you can't take with you. You will be responsible for assembling
any furniture needed (this is one instance where you MUST read the instructions!).
When everything is completed, you should have a picture perfect nursery
suitable for any design magazine.
Be sure to take photographs
of completed nurseries to add to your portfolio for new potential clients
to look at. A photo will also make a nice thank you or follow up to your
client - and be sure to include several business cards that she can give
to other moms-to-be.
