in order to promote themselves, a product or a business.
While this can be done strictly
online - if you are a publicist for an internet company that is looking
for exposure online, for example - most publicists work offline, since
phone calls and meetings are normally required both with and on behalf
of your clients.
The most well known kind of
publicist is one who works with celebrities as well as those who work
with authors. Both can be extremely lucrative - particularly if one of
your clients makes it big, so to speak.

include sports figures, speakers and "real life celebrities"
