Many women want the formal look of calligraphy on their wedding invitations, but they do not know how to do it themselves.

To be a wedding calligrapher, you must have expert calligraphy, or be talented in another unique handwriting style that the bride likes. A real fountain pen is the best, as calligraphy letters flow best with this style.

You must also be very aware of spelling, as you cannot have a single mistake on the envelope, nor should you use up to many of the spare envelopes.

You should work closely with any local wedding planners, as they are the ones who will likely refer clients to your calligraphy business.

You can also expand beyond weddings. Some ideas include addressing corporate Christmas cards, birthday invitations, birth announcements, and thank you cards.
