spin on a bar, yet very upscale, is perhaps the best option for those
wanting to start a wine bar. Serving flights of wine - then bottles of
the wines the patrons enjoyed most - is the latest trend in wine tastings.
Requirements:
A solid education and knowledge
of wine. Patrons will ask all kinds of questions, and you will need to
know the answer. If you have weak points, there are wine education classes
designed for those working in restaurants and wine bars.
Again, check any laws or restrictions
that could be an issue with a wine bar. Some potential laws you could
run into is only allowing alcohol sale with food unless your liquor license
has a specific designation (which are harder to get and/or more expensive)
Find an angle... don't be just
like every other wine bar in town, find your angle or niche and run with
it.
