Holiday Marketing Tips & Ideas for Your Business

The holiday season is upon us and this is a great time to get your products in front of your customers again. After all, marketing to our customers is our core importance in business throughout the year. Below we are going to list some tips and brainstorming ideas to help you promote your business for the holidays.

Tip One:
Don't make your customers feel as though you only want their money! Take this time to thank them for being a loyal customer throughout the year by sending them a holiday card or E-card. The personal touch goes a long way in business.

Tip Two:
Also take this time to offer them an incentive to buy from you this holiday season. Offer a discount or maybe even a free gift. If offering a discount, try to extend the expiration date past the holidays into January. Offering a discount for after the holidays is a good way to draw in your customers. They may want a little something for themselves or have some fun money they want to spend; that is where your discount comes in. Most people are apt to buy something when they are receiving at a discount, its that extra nudge to purchase.

Tip Three:
Take the time to talk to your customers through e-mails, phone calls, newsletters whatever works best for you and ask them what they would like to see for the new year. Is there an issue pertaining to your business they would like to learn about? Or a certain product they would like to see on sale or learn about?

Brainstorming Ideas:
A woman I know has a discount program she started two years ago after the holidays and has continued to use since with great success. Not only does she offer a discount for her customers, she includes an extra one for her customers to pass along to a friend or family member. This doubles your chances of sales and new customers and has your customer "selling" for you.

Depending on the type of business you are in, tell your customers you would like to contact their significant others and have them make a wish list with you. I know I would certainly love to pick out what I want and have someone go directly to him and tell him! While some companies specialize in this and they contact the husband directly, why not go through his wife so she can tell you what she wants!

These are just a few tips and ideas for the holiday season, we hope you will find them useful. MyMommyBiz wishes you a Happy Holiday and would like to thank you ALL for being our loyal supporters throughout the year!
