Listen to your Customers Did you realize that salespeople who seem to ramble on with no end in sight are tending to hide their nervousness or anxiety? And that the best salespeople only spend about 25% of their time talking. The other 75% is spent listening to their customers. People like talking about themselves, whether it is about their problem skin, or how much money they waste on products that don't do what they are supposed to do. And by nature, people would much rather talk about themselves, than listen to what others have to say about themselves. So try to avoid the pitfall of talking too much about yourself - unless it is a direct personal recommendation about the product you believe the customer wants. It is your job to listen to your customers and jelp decide which products are best suited for them. When your customers talk, listen carefully. They are actually telling you, indirectly, the products they want, and how to market it to them so they will purchase it from you.
