The Difference Between Building a Wide Downline and Building Deep Downline Many consultants become confused when trying to determine if it is more worthwhile to continue building their first tier of recruits (their first downline), or whether they should be encouraging their first downline to sign up their own first tier, resulting in a second downline for that consultant. Building a wide downline means that you have many people directly below you in your first tier downline, but those in your first downline do not have many signed up under them. Building a deep downline means that you have few people in your first tier downline, but those people have many people signed up underneath them, who have yet more signed up underneath them. Now, what is better for you? Should you be spending more of your effort building wide or building deep? The best is to have a downline that is both wide AND deep. But, a downline that is wide (more people directly under you in the first downline tier) will be more profitable for you, while a downline that is deep (many people under many more people) will offer you more stability in your income, since there are fewer people directly dependant on you to lead them. |
