Tailoring Your Sales Flyers For Each Customer Are you still using a one-size-fits-all approach to your monthly mailings for new promos, sales or new products? If you are, take a step back from the mass market approach and begin tailoring your flyers directly to each person. With publisher programs (such as Microsoft Publisher) being commonplace now, there is no reason why you cannot use your own computer to create monthly sales sheets to mail to your customer list. And by doing so, you can increase your sales generated by these sheets! First, use the bottom half of the page as a customer-wide space. All customers will see the same thing, and it should cover any brand new products or special promos your company is running. And the top half should be reserved for product specials for each customer. First, you want to look back at order history. Do you have a client that has purchased the same moisturer from you every other month for the past year, yet hasn't ordered for the past three months? Create a special or promo featuring that moisturizer. You know she uses it, and this gives her the incentive to order it now, rather than waiting until she thinks of it. Does a client love vanilla? Create a special just for her featuring new and top selling vanilla scented products. Be sure to save the individual ones, that way you can use them again with other customers, or slightly change the look to resend to the same customer the following month. When you tailor each of the flyers to individual customers, you can increase the sales ratio from your flyers. And while it may seem like a lot of work in the beginning, it will become easier later when you can just make slight changes - even something as simple as changing the font color to give it a new look - and you are ready to go for the following month. |
