I have witnessed positions being downsized,
companies being poorly managed, and companies going out of
business. Been there... done that.
I've felt so out of control of what was
going on in my career. I have always wanted to work but started
questioning for whom...especially after just having my third
child on September 5, 2001 just six days before the terrorist
attacks. As I sat there looking at my two-week old precious
son (I have two older girls), I felt that even if I couldn't
control what was going on in the world and even my full-time
job at the time, I knew I wanted to concentrate on what is
really important in my life. My "9 to 5" career
was no longer important to me - face it, I'm a Mom. I want
to be with my children and dear husband. But I also realize
that we have financial obligations that I signed up for (house,
van ...) and so I'm not able to give up my full-time job just
yet. I knew that going into business for myself, I would have
to make some sacrifices early in the game (right now, it's
mostly sleep - something that I love to do.)
I always had a passion for stamping, scrapbooking
and teaching so I started researching and comparing other
stamp and scrapbooking home party companies and found The
Angel Company. I have always felt that God has had a little
angel looking over me... helping me...guiding me. I don't
know how I came across TAC. Fluke? Perhaps, but I believe
it was more from the power of prayer.
Well I contacted the company and they put
me in touch with a demonstrator in New Lisbon, WI. New Lisbon?
I know! That's exactly what I said, "where the heck is
New Lisbon?" Well after speaking with Sara for a while,
I became confident that this was going to be my path. I hosted
a workshop with Sara and one of my friends that night told
me that she would host my first workshop on December 8th if
I would sign up as a demonstrator. So I did and I got my wings
on Decenber 1st, 2001.
I was very excited about the opportunity
at hand. First of all, I was the first demonstrator in Racine
for TAC. I loved that fact that the unmounted stamps are about
half the cost of the popular wood mounted stamps and they
take up less space. And, if you're a stamp collector like
myself, that makes a big impression.
One of the goals at TAC is to encourage,
praise, support and respect their demonstrators as business
people as well as people. They encourage demonstrators to
place God first, families second and careers third. By doing
this they know that their demonstrators will find harmony
and success in their lives.
Well, in June of 2002, I attended my first
TAC rubberstamping convention. How exciting was that - I met
so many wonderful angels, learned a lot of different techniques
and found out that I was fifth in sales for the whole company.
WOW! I felt so priviledged just to be there with all of the
other wonderful angels.
So my biggest point is, if I can succeed,
ANYONE can do it. All you need is confidence in yourself and
a little angel help : )
If you would like more information on becoming
an ANGEL (TAC demonstrator) please email me at jbaugrud@yahoo.com
or call me at 262/770-1842. I'd be happy to answer any questions
that you may have.
Many creative blessings,
Jackie : )
