How much is each new contact worth? Sometimes it seems that it just doesn't make sense to go and make yet another contact, especially when you are going through a slump when everyone seems to say no. But using this handy formula, you can actually determine just how much money a contact is worth, even if they say no! Because don't forget, each no will lead to a "yes". After all, if everyone said yes, everyone would be doing the same as you! First, look at the last three months. And get these totals:
Divide them together, and you now have the amount you made per contact. This means that every contact you make is potentially worth that amount, regardless of whether they end up becoming a customer or consultant. When you have the figure, it can be quite motivational to be able to think to yourself "I can phone/approach this person, and it averages out to $14 in my pocket, even if she says no!" since you have taken all the "no" answers into account in your calculations. This can also help you approach people outside of your comfort zone, when you have the value price tag over their heads. This is also an excellent exercise
to do with your team members as a motivational tip at your next downline
meeting. |
