What
is Link Text?
Link text is commonly referred
to when participating in link exchanges, or when optiomizing your own
website. Link text refers to the link text used to link to a specific
page or website.
For example, if I wanted to
link to the Financing & Business Loans section on MyMommyBiz, I would
probably link to that section as Business
Financing & Loans. Therefore, the link text is "Business
Financing & Loans".
However, if I linked to http://www.mymommybiz.com/finance/
the URL would be considered the link text, which isn't nearly as useful
for search engine marketing than if you used actual words.
