So how is it you ask that you can find a legitimate telecommuting job that allows you to work from home? The answer is simple, but that doesn't mean it will be easy, "research." Most importantly always remember: You should never pay for a Job! Legitimate jobs will not ask you to pay to work.

Below we have listed some suggestions and tips to help you research a telecommuting job's legitimacy:

-Visit the Better Business Bureau and see if the company is a member. Check to see if they have any listed complaints against them.

-Post your questions on the MyMommyBiz Telecommuting board and talk to other wahm's. They can be a wealth of information!

-You can perform a WhoIs search through GoDaddy and find out who the owner of the domain name is and when it was registered. If it is a newly registered name, chances are more likely it is not a legitimate job, as if the site has been registered with the same company for many years.

-Call or email the company directly for more information. A legitimate company will have an 800 number listed. Make sure to call and talk to someone and ask questions. If they don't offer an option to talk with a live person this is most likely is another red flag.

-If the money potential listed is "too good to be true" than it most likely is! Exaggerated claims about your potential pay should be a big red flag.

-If the job lists "no experience necessary" you should be leery. After all would you want to hire someone that had no work experience?

-If you found the job listing under a free classified, this is usually another red flag in your search.
