Telecommuting Job Profile

Job Title: Investigative reporter for financial research company

Primary Skills: 30-60 hours per month.
* Have research, interviewing and/or cold-calling experience. Be thick-skinned enough to manage extensive cold-calling, but also sensitive enough to detect a developing story.

* Be diligent in meeting deadlines. Duration of a typical project is 1.5-2 weeks but certain projects are turned around more quickly, condensed into a 5 to 7 day period – must be able to commit 20 hours or more while working on a given project and accessible throughout the duration of the project.

* Have writing experience and be detail-oriented to analyze data and identify emerging trends.

* Though a background or knowledge in retail apparel or softlines is helpful, not required.

* Be able to work well within a team, but must also be motivated, independent worker who is comfortable working from home.

* Be curious, confident, honest, and able to present his or her findings with conviction.

* A phone line, computer, and internet connection is required. MS Word proficiency and basic knowledge of Excel a must.
