are Subdomains?
Many web hosting companies
now offer subdomains as part of their package of "extras" with
many hosting plans. While they haven't become wildly popular, they can
be useful.
If your regular website URL
is www.example.com an example of a subdomain would be sales.example.com
or jen.example.com. Oftentimes, people consider subdomains as separate
sites, rather than the part of a site, as www.example.com/sales/ or www.example.com/jen.html
would be.
