server, your host will not provide any sort of support related to one.
This means, you need to have the technological know-how to be able to
install upgrades and patches to your server, and know server functions
to keep your server online and running smoothly.
Failure to keep your server
upgraded as new security releases become available could mean you are
opening up your server to a hack attempt or full-blown attack.
If you are not savvy enough
to do it yourself, you should choose a managed dedicated server, or hire
a systems administrator to do any work for you.
Unmanaged dedicated servers
can come pre-installed with a basic operation system or with a control
panel installed for you.
