Welcome to MyMommyBiz
So, you want to be a Pet Groomer?

Would you love to spend your days pampering pets? Do you wish for a career where you can set appointments around your schedule? If you have always wanted to work with pets, maybe becoming a professional pet groomer is the career for you. Being a pet groomer can be very rewarding. Not only are you helping pets feel better, but you are keeping them healthy too. A pet that is never groomed can develop skin problems and also temperament problems. It is so frustrating to see a severely matted, depressed dog come to my door for grooming, but the fulfilling part is watching it leave clean, and happy with a wagging tail.

The Pet Industry is exploding and people are becoming more knowledgeable of how important it is to keep their pets well groomed. Pet Grooming can be very profitable. In most areas, the average price to groom a small to medium sized dog is $30 to $35. Keep in mind that most groomers average seven to ten dogs a day and work five to six days a week.

If you have a genuine love for animals, patience, and a willingness to learn, then you could embark on a rewarding career as a professional pet groomer. This ebook contains a comprehensive collection of everything that you will need to start a pet grooming business, and even includes photographs. There are links to pet related sites and good advice given by other work at home moms. It is packed with information that is not easily found without having experience in the business. Take a look at what's inside.

About The Author
I'm Raelynn Coombs and I've been in the pet industry for about 20 years now. Throughout high school I did volunteer work at Veterinary Clinics and eventually became a Veterinary Technician. After two years of technician work I became an assistant dog trainer at a facility that also offered pet grooming. It didn't take long for me to realize that grooming is what I wanted to do. Desperately wanting to learn, but not having the means to pay for formal training, I found a professional groomer who allowed me to become her apprentice. After months of bathing, clipping toenails, and cleaning ears, I soon learned the styles of clips that applied to each breed. I now have eight years of pet grooming experience behind me and I still learn new things everyday. It is a challenge for me to be a mom and work at home as a professional pet groomer, but without my family, I would be lost. I have three daughters, (Jordan, Madison and Gabriella) a supportive husband, (Glen) and two dogs (Spencer and Sampson).
